GENERAL INFORMATION
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE SCHEDULES 24 HOURS BEFORE THE START OF YOUR GAME.
· For the safety of our players and in accordance with City policies, NO DOGS or PETS are to be present at any AYSO games.
· Please be a good host and a respectful guest; be courteous around homes neighboring the fields and clean up when you leave.
Rules of Play
ALL DIVISIONS
Players must be in full uniform with shin guards under socks. A player can not wear any earrings, necklaces, bracelets or any other jewelry.
AYSO Registration Forms (medical release forms) for each player must be available at every AYSO event (practice and games).
Game length is the duration of each half with 5 min for half time break. There is no time stoppage at the water breaks halfway each half.
Each player needs to play 75% (3 quarters) of the game time.
(5U,6U)
Practice is the first 20 min, Game is the following 20 min. Coaches can coach on the field. No Referee.
(8U-14U)
·Coaches shall be prepared to check-in their teams a minimum of twenty (20) minutes prior to the scheduled game time.
·Completed game (line-up) card including the FULL name of each player on the team roster listed in numerical order by uniform number.
·Region 624 applies a zero tolerance policy on any type of physical or verbal abuse directed towards our volunteer referees.
·Coaches shall stay on the sideline, (8U), between the Build-out lines (10U), between center circle extends (12U and up). No coaching outside these areas is allowed.
·At 8U games only, an 8U official will referee the game. Scores or standings are not being kept. No referee Points to be collected
·Referees will give up to 1 point for sportsmanship per game which will be added to your overall standing total. Sportsmanship applies to Coaches, spectators and players.
·Referee decisions during a match are final and not subject to protest.
Volunteer Point Policy
APPROVED REFEREE VOLUNTEERS can sign up by logging in above as your referee account. Sign up for open games. Have a (main) team pre-assigned for collection of points. If you collect points for multiple teams, contact the Referee administrator.
EACH TEAM needs to collect 100 points minimum across all categories, but also needs to comply with
minimum points per category per matrix below. Select your team above to see your teams points progress

Flexible points (deadline 11/8/2025) | 10 | Choice between collecting additional points for referee (3pts per CR, 2 pts per AR) and/or OPEN time slots for snackbar / fields (2.5 pts per slot) |
For the flexible points, there is a choice as noted in the comment above. Team managers and/or coaches can reserve OPEN time slots for snackbar and fields by sending a request to ayso624.rubenvc@gmail.com specifying coach name, division, date
and time. (e.g. Coach Corona, B16U, 09/16 7AM volunteering).
Examples that qualify for the Harry Dalton Tournament and/or Area/Section play.
1.Team 1: The Coach completed ALL certificates (20pts) and submitted the players evaluations (20pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 7 center slots filled (41pts). The team completed all fixed volunteer spots (20pts). Total 101 points AND sufficient points per category.
2.Team 2: The Coach completed ALL certificates (20pts) and submitted the players evaluations (20pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 5 center slots filled (35pts). The team completed all fixed volunteer spots (20pts) and 2 additional open slots (5pts). Total 100 points AND sufficient points per category.
Examples that do NOT qualify for the Harry Dalton Tournament and/or Area/Section play.
3.Team 3: The Coach completed ALL certificates (20pts) and submitted the players evaluations (20pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 5 center slots filled (35pts). The team completed all fixed volunteer spots (20pts). Total 95 points. Only 5 of 10 required flex points were collected.
4.Team 4: The Coach completed ALL certificates (20pts) and submitted the players evaluations (20pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 10 center slots filled (50pts). The team completed only half of the fixed volunteer spots (10pts). Total 100 points but not sufficient volunteer pts.
5.Team 5: The Coach completed ALL certificates (20pts) but did not submit the players evaluations (0pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 15 center slots filled (65pts). The team completed all fixed volunteer spots (20pts). Total 105 points but no players eval points.
6.Team 6: The Coach completed certificates except his coaching license.(0pts). He did submit the players evaluations (20pts). The team referees had 10 AR and 10 center slots filled (50pts). The team completed all fixed volunteer spots (20pts). Total 90 points but no coach cert points.
